2021 – A Nonet to Hope
Let’s light a candle this New Years Eve
Close our eyes and imagine love
Sparkling kisses around us
As we dream, imagine
Making kind wishes
As our hearts dance
Wishing you all a happy, covid free New Year.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me by reading, reviewing and encouraging me in this creative journey. x

This month’s theme is:
The Night Sky
I thought I’d write a nonet to celebrate my hubby and I ‘s anniversary. We had a lovely day together yesterday. So this is for us! We’ve stood the test of time and been married for 33 years! Imagine… He isn’t one for social media, so I rarely post photos of him, so instead here is a lovely pic I found on pexels.
Happy Anniversary – Night Stars!
The night sky
You and I
Remembering vows, years past
Star gazing with you.

The Circle of Life is an interesting prompt from Colleen, one that got me thinking… with age we become childlike and vulnerable again.
A Nonet seemed the perfect form to express this continuum with the fragile fullness of life at the top and the single word, too, representing the tendency to become childlike at the end of life.
The circle of life begins at birth
With sharp cries of fragility
We long for sweet sustenance
Latching to mother’s breast
We feed, grow, and live
Aging each day
