We were chatting in the kitchen at the time. Through the window I glanced to the right and I saw a momentary striking image, an indeterminate shadow of black and white twirling, pirouetting on the spot. My eyes couldn’t keep up with the speed of this strange sighting and within seconds it was gone.

I know what you might be thinking. Is she crazy? Did she imagine it? Had she been drinking?
An emphatic ‘No,’ to each of these!

I swear that I saw it and I wasn’t the only one to do so. I have witnesses. My two daughters were in the kitchen with me and they noticed it too and even more extraordinary my daughter’s boyfriend (at the time,) has seen it as well.

These sightings were so extraordinary that I wrote this passage in my novel.

I love sunny, hot places, particularly Rome, Venice, Portugal, Barcelona, and I forgot to mention the sun drenched beaches of the Caribbean, how could I? I am lucky to have been blessed with two lovely daughters and a husband who I fondly refer to in this blog as my black sheep. Family joke!
