A time-traveler oversteps his boundaries in 1887. Things get out of hand quickly, and he is hanged, setting in motion a series of events from which there’s no turning back. In 1887, LeRoy McAllister is a reluctant outlaw running from a posse with nowhere to go except to the future. In 2025, Amaryllis Sanchez is a thrill-seeking rock star on the fast track, who killed her dealing boyfriend to save herself. Now, she’s running from the law and his drug stealing flunkies, and nowhere is safe. LeRoy falls hard for the rock star, thinking he can save her by taking her back with him. But when they arrive in 1887, things turn crazy fast, and soon they’re running from both the outlaws and the posse, in peril once more. They can’t go back to the future, so it looks like they’re stuck in the past. But either when, they must face forces that would either lock them up or see them dead.
My Review
Well this was nothing like I’ve read before!
A time travelling western – what fun, flitting from 1887 to 2025. Loved the characters, especially feisty Rockstar Amaryllis who does her worst to get away from Vegas drug dealer lover Claude. There’s lots of excitement, high speed chases, some love scenes, jail breaks, time travelling ripple effects, and the threat of a noose around the neck is never far away!
I also enjoyed Cowboy who she takes a shine to and Monchique, Amaryllis’s best friend, a gnarled psychic who isn’t old but sure looks it due to Werners Syndrome.
Loved the direction the ‘ending’ went with the sense there is more to come.
Highly imaginative and so entertaining! Really enjoyed.
Thank you to the author for an advanced copy. Opinions given are my own.

My review
Small Wonders lets you creep into Kaye Lynn’s heart and soul to stay there for a while. It’s a comprehensive, personal and eclectic mix of poetry which I really enjoyed.
Kaye Lynn Booth’s poetry collection begins with a lovely forward from fellow author and poet Robbie Cheadle.
So many darn good poems, these are just some of the highlights for me…
Poems to make you smile such as: Angels Among Us, and Two Little Fairie Princesses inspired by the author’s grandaughters.
As well as this, expect thoughtful reflective poems like Intimacy and the Harlequin Dance.
Nature is a theme too, which I love – The Cherry Tree – about nature’s bounty and study some birds in – Birdwatching.
Another topic handled with great understanding is aging given the author’s role as an experienced carer for many years – There Was A Time (reflections on aging.) Welcome To Memory Lane (caring for the elderly.)
Humour is never far away : A Mole In The Garden (the frustration of which I have experienced! Written with relatable humour.) Up There On The Mountain, Alone (this made me laugh too!)
My ‘Vette (how we get attached to our cars, so relatable!)
Emotional/love/loss themed pieces such as: A Single Heartbeat, Love Lies Bleeding, After Twenty-six Years.
And poems about writing! What’s not to like? Poems such as: My Muse, The Library, What Is Sleep?
Other favourite poems include – Early Morning, Close Your Eyes And Dream, Sun and Shade and Voices.
A highly recommended poetry collection, aptly named.

My review
Poetry Treasures 3: Passions
Thank you to Kaye Lynn Booth for an advanced copy which I read freely and without bias. What a lovely collection of poetry!
This poetry collection is from various authors some of whom I have had the pleasure of knowing and reading for many years: Robbie Cheadle, Colleen Chesebro, D Wallace Peach, Willow Willers, Judy Mastrangelo, and some talented new poets, whose work is less familiar to me: Smitha Vishwanath, Chris Hall, Abby Taylor, Yvette M. Calleiro, Rosemerry Wahtola Trummer, Patty Fletcher, Yvette Prior, and Penny Wilson.
It’s an eclectic collection and a fabulous way to discover new poets to read. Expect varying interpretations of poetic passions. Not all are amorous! Some are thoughtful, personal to the author, (the author’s interests, experiences and loves,) and many have deep insight into human trials and tribulations.
Here are just some of my favourites!
Robbie: Wildlife passions – Bold Lover and… One for me none for you.
Smitha: If I could gift you anything and One last time.
Abbie: The Black Hole – an emotional piece about Abbie’s late husband’s stroke destroying his ability to speak and a powerful piece on the same topic: The Music Lady.
Chris: Home for the holidays and The Lightning Tree.
Yvette Prior: We are a bird, he said and Poetic Sleep
Yvette M Calleiro: In the depths below and Claimed (Nonet)
Willow: Passion, Academic Passion
Rosemerry: I really appreciated how this poet used artists as a focal point as in: Thinking of Vincent Painting Winter. And a piece about female sexual taboos: No Longer Empty Handed
Patty: Ever Lost In The Moment, and Grandfather Tree Speaks.
Judy: Garden of The Sun And Moon and Fairy Wedding. ( There are beautiful accompanying illustrations for all of Judy’s. Judy is a wonderful artist too.)
Penny: A splash of heaven, and Something Worth Losing
Colleen: Love’s Reply and Swift Passage dedicated to the much loved late Sue Vincent.
D. Wallace Peach: The Mermaid and Words.
A lovely collection for poetry lovers. Read it more than once and appreciated it more on multiple reading! 5 stars.
