Colleen’s prompt words this week are heat and confuse.
I reckon I’ll write a passionate Tanka this week! Why? I’m feeling happy having just set up my author page on Amazon: Amazon Buying Link… for my debut novel The Curse of Time – Book 1 – Bloodstone, even though it was stressful setting it up….
Yes, formatting isn’t my favourite job. It made me confused, hot, headache prone and more than a bit irritable, so let’s have some passionate poetry to make me feel less stressed! Lol…
Hi.
Welcome to my blog: M J Mallon - Kyrosmagica Publishing. A blog about magic, books, writing, laughter, and much more! I'm a debut writer, my first YA fantasy novel The Curse of Time - Book 1 - Bloodstone is set in Cambridge. I write book reviews on my blog and on Goodreads. I have a penchant for travel and have relatives in far flung places, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore, (my birthplace.) I grew up in in Bonnie Scotland, in Edinburgh, and now live in Cambridge. I love sunny, hot places, particularly Rome, Venice, Portugal, Barcelona, and I forgot to mention the sun drenched beaches of the Caribbean, how could I? I am lucky to have been blessed with two lovely daughters and a husband who I fondly refer to in this blog as my black sheep. Family joke! With my passion for travel, culture, beautiful beaches, good food, books, theatre, writing, and humour, I hope to keep you entertained. I'm loving every minute of this creative journey, please join me.

I’m on my 876th revision of my first! I consider it my workbook. It’s unfortunate that I keep learning new techniques. Ha! I’m pulling the plug soon. Kudos to you.

It’s taken me countless revisions and years to get to this point. Being a writer is such hard work! And this is meant to be a trilogy! My God I will exhaust myself in the process. Maybe two books will suffice? Lol…

I know what you mean! I mentioned the same thing to Danny last night. He said, “Maybe all of your books should be standalone novels.” Thing is, if I had started five years ago, knowing everything I know now, it wouldn’t have taken so long. We’ll see.
Setting anything up–like your Amazon page–makes me a little crazy, too. You did it, though! Go you. You found the perfect outlet in a little love poetry. Very nice. Looking forward to the cover reveal!
Bravo on the Amazon page setup; always daunting until you get stuck in I imagine. Looking forward to checking your book out too. That and the cover reveal post! Congratulations all round methinks 🙂
Very interesting, let’s give it a go
Glad you enjoyed Phil. 🙂
As all lovers should. Love it, Marge!
Congrats on your book cover!

I did see this when you posted it, but am glad I returned – I think you filled your poem with more passion than mine.
