This lovely dessert was one of the tastiest, most visually pleasing delights I have ever had the pleasure of eating!
But, it’s not for everyone… not if you are allergic to egg whites, or you don’t like meringue, or…
You love meringue but have put on a few pounds during lockdown… maybe I shouldn’t have another one…
Only joking, this was at a restaurant…
Sumptuous meringue
A tempting, strawberry high
My body shouts NO!
A strawberry crown
Crumbling meringue face
Dotted with delight!
Somehow I prefer the last one… oh dear I do have a problem. Even my poetry is saying eat the dessert… Such a sweet tooth!
Which poem do you prefer? Let me guess…
I love poetry!
I write poetry in all of my books (excluding some of the anthologies.) You’ll find poetry in Mr. Sagittarius, Poetry and Prose, in The Curse of Time Book 1 Bloodstone, (short form poetry at the beginning of each chapter,) and there is also poetry in the anthology/compilation This Is Lockdown.

The image made my mouth water! I like your Tanka better because it ignored the calories.:-)
Ha ha me too Priscilla.
I love both, but the really speaks directly to me!
I guess you mean the last one Elizabeth. Me too! 🙂
Yes! I missed a word! 🙂
Your senryu poem at the top is quite humorous. Remember, haiku are written about nature. If you’re writing about “human nature” how the human responds to the world around them, it’s a senryu. A tanka has five lines: 5/7/5/7/7. Both of these delightfully fattening masterpieces are senryu. Well done, Sis. <3
Ah senryu. Thank you Colleen, good point! <3 x
When my book is finished you will thank me. LOL! <3
Lol. Even your poetry wants you to eat the dessert. That cracked me up. And that looks hard to resist!
Yes it was mighty tasty! Lol.
I love them both Marjie💜💜💜
Lol that was tasty and fun Marje. I personally don’t like meringue and I can’t eat egg whites LOL <3
Ah, the first poem is for you then! Lol. <3 x
🙂 <3
Yum! That dessert looks scrumptious. Love your poem. 😀
Thank you Vashti. And yes it was very tasty!
